    在黎明升起的時候

    我聽到一天使歌唱

    仁慈   憐憫   和平

    是這世界的解放

    他整天這樣唱著

    在新割的乾草上方

    直到太陽西下

    乾草堆顯得昏黃

    我聽到個魔鬼詛咒

    在石南和荊豆的上空

    仁慈再不會存在

    如果沒有人貧窮

    若大家一樣幸福

    憐憫就不會再有

    他咒得太陽落山

    天空皺起了眉頭

    大雨傾盆而下

    澆遍新割的莊稼

    苦難增添的乃是

    和平   憐憫   仁慈
